participant v. direct
Participant oberservation is the complete hands on approach to observation. In this situation you are acting as one of the same people as you are observing. In normal observation you are separated from the people you are observing and you don't partake in the same things they do. Participant observation can be hard because you can become intertwined with those who you are observing and thus lose sight of your goal.

Your post was interesting but it would have been interesting to hear the effect participant and direct observation has on the end data that you get. for example, anything that you directly observe would happen anyway so that data would always be teh same if anyone watches, but if you participate then you could change the end data 100,000 different ways.

the only sentence i would change would be "Participant observation can be hard because you can become intertwined with those who are observing and thus lose sight of your goal." i would change this sentence too, "however, participant observation can be difficult because the observer can be come intertwined with the people you are observing and lose sight of your original goal." other than that it is well written nice job
